The Question Behind the Doodle

This year marks Pecman’s 30th anniversary, and to celebrate the event, this month they will be releasing their first-ever Pecman-branded doodle. The doodle is based on the current logo, which consists of the word PECMAN in all caps with an exclamation point at the end. The doodle is a play on words that says PECMAN 30th! but also spells out P! (i.e. pecman), E! (i.e., eminence), and so on, until it reaches M! N!! (i.e. man!).

There are two explanations for why this doodle exists: one from a brand perspective and one from a legal perspective. A company spokesperson told us, We’re thrilled to share our enthusiasm for the company’s birthday milestone by commemorating 30 years through an homage to our icon.

He went on to say The future holds many exciting opportunities as we continue to grow around the world, implying that Pecman expects much more in store for them over the next few decades. According to legal analysts, there may have been another motive behind the release of this product trademarking potential variations of eminence spelled with different capitalizations or punctuation.

What Will Happen Next?
