Sasha Monik – Young, Gifted, and Breathing Magic

When it comes to magic, your audience’s attention should be on the tricks you do with cards, coins, or rings; not on you. Sasha Monik is one of the most talented young magicians in the country, and she knows how to put on an incredible show without diverting attention away from her tricks. This article about Sasha Monik will tell you about her rise to fame and where she’s headed in the future.

When did you first become interested in magic?

I became interested in magic when I saw a magician at an event when I was young. When he saw me looking he came up to me and asked if I wanted to try some tricks. My eyes lit up as he showed me how to do a few simple ones. It wasn’t until later that evening when my parents told me who the man I met was: David Copperfield

How does Sasha Monik balance your career with other interests?

I always have had a strong interest in other things besides magic. I guess it’s just my nature to be curious about everything. I love being able to explore new interests, but at the same time, I’m always looking for ways to bring different disciplines together.

For example, recently I started learning how to juggle. Juggling is an interesting art form because it combines rhythm and movement from music with the physical act of tossing objects up into the air. It’s a great way for me to work on my juggling skills while also practicing my musicality!

What are your goals for the next year or so?

My goal for the next year is to perform my original magic show at more venues. I also hope to continue to grow my YouTube channel. I want to be able to provide a new perspective on magic. I want people to watch my videos and say ‘I didn’t know that was possible!’

Have you ever faced any setbacks in your career? If so, how did you overcome them?

I am very fortunate to have had a relatively easy journey so far. I was born in Ukraine, but my family immigrated to America when I was about 4 years old. When we got here, my dad spoke little English and had a hard time finding a job. He eventually found one stocking shelf at night at the local grocery store. My mom worked as an accountant during the day while taking care of me and my two younger siblings in the evenings after school.

Things were tough for our family, but we always managed to find something on sale that would work for our budget that week. Our parents did everything they could to make sure we never went without anything necessary. We always knew they loved us unconditionally and took care of us no matter what it took them.

Where do you see yourself in ten years’ time?

In ten years I see myself as a successful businesswoman with children. I want to be able to provide my children with the best possible childhood and education. I also want to be able to give them the opportunity for any career that they may choose in life. I would like for my children to be happy and know how much their mother loves them.

What would be an ideal situation for someone to reach his/her dreams?

The first step to achieving your dreams is believing that you can. Sasha Monik is a perfect example of this. He knew he had the talent to be a magician and he was determined to make it happen. When he was young, Sasha would spend hours practicing card tricks in his spare time. His hard work paid off when he joined the UCA family at the age of 16. Since then, Sasha has performed magic for hundreds of thousands of people all around the world and has won prestigious awards such as Best Close-Up Illusionist from the Academy of Magical Arts.

How can people best connect with Sasha Monik? And what is something unique about you that not a lot of people know yet?

I love hearing from people who are interested in magic. I am always happy to answer questions or give advice on how to start your own magic act. The thing that not many people know about me is that I am a huge animal lover! I have two cats and one dog. My pets mean the world to me!

Is there anything else you want to add that we haven’t covered here today?
